Obituary of Robert Ellsworth Secord

  Secord: Robert E., (Bob) of Thamesville, passed away at home on February 8, 2014 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Linda Secord. Loving father of Neil (Anne) Secord of Thamesville and Rhona (Brian) Dyer of Chatham. Sadly missed by grandson Scott Secord and grandaughters Caitlin and Jessie Dyer. Bob was born in Thamesville on December 4,1920 to the late Orville and Ethel (Evans 1921) and step-mother Irene Gibson. A veteran of WWII, serving overseas in the Canadian Army 4th Brigade Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from 1940 – 1945. Bob owned and operated Secord Electric from the 1950′s to 1986. He is predeceased by his brother Bill and a sister Betty. At Bob’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Sherman Cemetery, Thamesville at a later date. If desired donations may be made to the Poppy Fund of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #367 Thamesville.
