Remember visiting the farm in Dresden as a young girl of 10 or 11 with our parents Jim & Louise (Stonehouse) Shanahan. We had driven from then Fort William, Ontario now Thunder Bay. I was sooo thrilled to be on a farm & got to see a milk separating demonstration. We stayed with Uncle Ralph, Aunt Mary & Sharon for a few days & also visited many relatives, Stonehouses, Stinson, Pardiac and Higgs family. We had a family picnic at Rondeau & I will never forget the amazing farm food we had especially the chicken & fresh tomatoes! The highlight of trip was a tractor ride that Don took my sister Pat & I on.
Unfortunately this was the first & last time I met Don but the beautiful memory lives on!
