Charles received his miracle when he was embraced into the loving arms of Jesus on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at Parkwood Institute - Palliative Care Unit, in London, Ontario. Chuck was 82 years of age. He was born in Thamesville on September 14, 1937. Son of the late Howard Van Sickle and Beatrice (née Harmsworth) Van Sickle. Loving husband to Sonyia. Dear father to Sherry Carpenter, Debbie Van Sickle, Darrell (Sue) Van Sickle, Diana (Ken) Stone, Shelley McLoughlin, and stepfather to Robert Armstrong, Laurie Cameron, Ron Armstrong & Dina Phoenix, and Cheri (Mark) Shaefer. Proud grandfather to 19 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by two great-grandchildren and by his brother, Terry Van Sickle. Chuck will forever be remembered as a man very strong in his faith. Thank you to the many nurses that took such good care of Chuck while he was at Parkwood. A memorial service will be conducted at the JOHN C. BADDER FUNERAL HOME, 72 Victoria Street, Thamesville, on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Darrell Van Sickle officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Program at Parkwood Institute.
