This picture of Uncle Marvin was taken at our wedding in 2002 by Catherine’s cousin from Germany. It was his 1st time in Canada and he was intent on meeting ‘real’ Canadians. He had lots of questions in the days following about Uncle Marvin…who he was, what did he do, what sort of things did he like. He loved all the stories about Uncle Marvin – about him hunting, trapping, riding horses, operating giant machines and fixing up old tractors. He thought of Uncle Marvin as quintessential Canadian man…I agreed wholeheartedly. He always had a smile and said something funny when we were kids and you could tell he loved and cared about us all. I have nothing but fond memories of Uncle Marvin. Our sincerest condolences to Aunt Jane, Debbie, Judy, Jason, Scott, Kristen and Stacy.
