 Following a lengthy illness, the family is saddened to announce the passing of Delbert “Lee” McCaughrin of Morpeth,  in his 84th year.  He passed away peacefully at the Blenheim Community Village on Thursday, January 23, 2020. He was the son of the late Delbert & Pauline McCaughrin of Dresden. For 60 years, Lee was the best friend, beloved husband and soul mate of Nora McCaughrin. Cherished & much loved father of the late Susan Douglas (Rick) and David (Barbara) McCaughrin. Loved Grandpa to Tricia (Mick), Spencer, Johnathan and Amanda. Lee was known for his beautiful smile, wit and sense of humour. Family time was precious to him and the family spent many summers on the beach of Lake Erie, doing what he loved most, boating, skiing and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his friends and neighbours. Lee was the past owner of the Dresden Tile Yard and fondly remembered by many. He was past President (1977) of the Ontario Clay Drainage Association. Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Monday, January 27, 2020 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Private family interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Christ Church, Dresden or the Alzheimer's Society. Online donations and condolences may be left at www.badderfuneralhome.com.
