Butler, Lee R., a resident of Thamesville passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the age of 91. Lee was born in Dawn Township, son of the late Alonzo and Elizabeth Butler. Lee spent many rewarding years as a farmer near Oakdale. Beloved husband of Mary Louise Butler (Bloom) for 66 years. Loving father of Brian (Linda) Butler of Dawn Township, Karen (Tim) Anderson of Waterloo and Trudy (Mark) Rivers of Stouffville. Proud grandfather of Kaitlyn (D.J.), Melissa, Desmond, Marshall, Branden (Shelby), Aleks, Natasha, Jillian and Graham. Great-grandfather of Cohen and Crew. Survived by brother Bryce Butler of Riverview, New Brunswick and sister Helen McGuire of Petrolia. Predeceased by brothers Robert, George, Ted, Dick Butler and sister Mary Tofflemire. Lee was a cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews. Lee was a faithful member of the Florence Oddfellows Lodge for 70 years. He loved to talk farming and was an enthusiastic card player. A private family gathering will be held at the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville followed by a private family interment at Shetland Cemetery.
