To the Cook Family:
Sympathy and Condolences are sent to the family of Shannon Cook. Cook's Hill was iconic for our annual winter tobogganing activities of our youth. Frozen mittens and toques, did not stop the all day fun, while Shannon's
Grandparents would watch from the front window. Never once did they complain about all our noisy laughter and fun.
Quiet and shy, Shannon was like a cool, soft breeze as she walked daily to school. I always thought of Shannon
as a younger "Gladys Knight" type, with her soft big brown eyes and smooth, even complexion. Naturally beautiful
inside and out. Those qualities Shannon owned, and may have been a reflection of Thelma's illuminated Heart for Jesus, as Lord and Savior. May You find Peace and Eternal Rest Shannon, knowing that the neighborhood would not have been so much fun for all of us, if you were not a big part of it too.

Many childhood memories took place at the Cook residence. So many backyard adventures on homemade go-karts, Cook's hill tobogganing, fishing along with a lot of other neighbourhood kids. Thelma made sure we were all safe and treated with cookies and kool-aid on a regular basis and when she said it was cleanup time of toys in the yard she meant all kids in that yard! She made sure we knew about Jesus and how to make it to heaven. She encouraged all of us to take those steps to accept Jesus into our hearts and Shannon did this at a young age. Plan to see her in Heaven one day.
