Obituary of Ivan Evans

Ivan Borden Evans, a resident of Dresden and formerly of Dawn Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 91. Born in Dawn Township, the son of the late Clarence and Erie (Krohn) Evans. Ivan spent his life living his passion of farming. He was an avid pilot. He was an excellent farmer and was always working on machinery and cars. He spent many years restoring his baby blue Lincoln Continental and later his little red International truck. Loving Dad of Karen Hunter, Faye Barnes (Ted), Gail Freer (Mark), and Gwen Mullin (Dennis). Beloved husband of Marjorie Anderson. Proud Grandpa of Lauren Hunter, Meredith Hunter, Kyrie Freer, Evan Freer, and Calvin Eves. Lovingly remembered by his extended family: Tammy Amstine, Greg Amstine, Lisa Supplee and his fur baby Pixie. Dear brother of Faye Wass. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by sister Wilhelmia Salts (Spec) and brother Stanley Evans (Phyllis).  A Private Family Service will be held at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden. Interment in Dresden Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario or Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
