Gord was the best neighbhour anyone could have! He helped fix my clothesline, sharpened my garden tools, even upgraded our electrical system. But perhaps one of the best things about Gord was that his cheery personality often came with a pocketful of candy!! He has been missed in the neighbourhood the past few years. But, as of last Friday, Heaven became even more joyful when a beautiful soul departed our earth and joined the angels.

Dear Norma, Sandra, Bob and families. What a bittersweet time this is. My heart hurts for you for the loss our our dear Gordie. He loved passionately. His love for the Lord, his family, gospel music and the Gideons was evident by all who knew him. He always had a quick joke to tell and a mint for you in his pocket. When I think of Gordie, I see his sparkling smile, a twinkle in his eye and a good belly laugh ready to explode. He was always encouraging, always laughing. My family loved this dear man deeply. Glenda and I have many fond memories of times we spent with Gordon and Norma, both at the Charlemont Church and in their home at Port Lambton. Gord had a delightful personality and loved to share his faith journey. He enjoyed a good laugh and we remember well the time we cooked lobsters at their home.
