I want to send our sincere sympathy on the passing away of Jim.
He and Marilyn were welcomed in to our Glencoe Presbyterian congregation and were wonderful members. Jim had a great singing voice and I enjoyed being in the choir with Marilyn. After Marilyn passed away I took Jim to haircut appointments and doctors appointments . He liked to have a laugh.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Love,
Barb McGill

Our sincere condolences to the family of Jim Gardner.
I remember picnic’s at Aunt Laura and Uncle Georges house in Chatham with all of the Garner family.
My Uncle George married your Aunt Laura and that was the best thing that happened to our family.
My Mom was Alta (Slater) Burgess.
Lorraine and Florence were wonderful cousins and I remember Jim’s laugh and teasing.
I remember all the good times I had with the Gardner family.
Jim was a wonderful man and loved his family.
Take good care of each other.
Joyce (Burgess) Larsh

I am very sorry to learn of your Dad’s passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. May God fill your hearts with His comfort & peace in the knowledge that Jim is no longer in pain or living through the trials of the pandemic.
Your parents were very faithful to attend worship when they moved to Glencoe. Jim always shared a song with a memory each week after the service. He LOVED church hymns and knew the lyrics to more songs than most people I have known! He had a great voice and was always ready to sing. He shared memories of his years working at the gravel pit for Johnston Brothers. His favourite story was to tell people that when he met your mom Marilyn, he found a Lemon. Then he would laugh because that was her maiden name. He could be gruff but he loved the Lord immensely, he was proud of his family and wanted only the best for your lives - children and grandchildren and your families. Please receive our condolences and prayers. May Christ lead you beside the still waters of life and give you rest, so that he may renew your strength to continue on your faith journey with Him.
Peace and Much love;
