To the Walters Family,
Ethel was one of the most gentle ladies I know. Her quiet nature was expressed in her kindness to everyone. I know my brother , Larry, can’t express his feelings right now but I know he would be extremely sad. Mrs Walters was one of his favourite people. He always admired her. When Buck went to Zone School she was his saviour. There weren’t many teachers that understood him and spent time with him. Mrs. Walters did, she made a difference in his life. Thank you for that.

Greetings to the family of Ethel.
My name is Juanita Glenn, and I reside at the Village on the Ridge, and knew Ethel. We were table mates in the dining room and she told me of her family growing up on the farm. She had many stories to tell and I enjoyed them all. She had a wonderful sense of humor and we would laugh at many of the stories she shared with me. I will miss her, she showed me a Christmas card she had received in the mail and it was addressed to Granny Walter's. I will surely miss her. With sympathy, Juanita Glenn.

Ethel was my grade four teacher when I came to Thamesville Public School. I thought she was the prettiest teacher I had ever seen. Later when I was employed at the Board of Education I would frequently run into her at the Board Office. What a lovely lady. My deepest sympathy. Donna Sedgman Dickson (formerly Cofell)

Sorry for the loss of your Mom. She lived a long wonderful life and for that we all can be thankful. I had the pleasure of having a visit with her at the village a couple of years ago before Covid and she did remember me. Also she attended one or two of our school reunions held at the legion in Thamesville again before Covid. Everyone was glad to see her. Treasure all your fun memories. Pat Tiffin (Lunn)

I send you my sincere condolences on the passing of your mom.
I volunteered at th Village before Covid-19 and always visited with Mrs. Walters. It was difficult to call her Ethel as I was one of her Grade 4 students atThamesville Public School in about 1955! And she did know my last name as soon as I said my first name. We had a much later connection as I had worked for many years with her brother-in-law Andy at Cashway in Chatham. It was always great to reminisce with her about those days.
My school day memories will always include your mom, and I enjoyed renewing them. Ethel and Ron (I think he worked at the dairy briefly) had a full life with a great community of family and friends.
