Hopper: Clair Alton, a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at the age of 87. Born in Zone Twp., son of the late Goldie and Ethel (Smith) Hopper. Predeceased by his cherished partner Margery Peters. Loving father of Wayne Hopper, Brad Hopper (Cindy), Carl Hopper, Jeff Hopper (Darlene) and Melanie Hopper. Predeceased by daughter Lisa. Dearly missed by his grandchildren Dennis (Nicole), Angela Thiessen-Brooker (Todd), Justin (Erica), Matthew (Trina), Victoria (Ted), Quade (Jerika) and great-grandchildren Colemin and Kaitlin Thiessen, Brooklyn Hopper, Justin and Ayla Hopper, Delylah, Heith and Delaney-Jane Hopper. Remembered by Marg's sons Glendon Adams (Donna) and Darrell Adams. Predeceased by brothers and sisters Florence Strevel, Erie Ross (Bill), Gladys Strevel, Grace Oulds, Lorne Hopper (Violet), Glen Hopper, Harry Hopper, Lynn Hopper (Marg). Also survived by many nieces and nephews – a special uncle to Ron Hopper. Dear neighbour and long-time friends of Don, Sherry and Heather Holcombe. Greatly missed by his precious Pedro. Special thanks to the nurses on the 4th Floor at CKHA. At Clair's request there will be no visitation or funeral service, cremation has taken place. Interment of cremains in Mayhew-Mt.
