My sincere condolences to Barney’s family…another good guy gone much too soon. I knew Barney from high school and he was a good friend to my late brother Bob Murrell. He always had a good story or joke whenever I ran into him. Never a dull moment when he was around. I hope all your wonderful memories will bring you comfort and peace in the loss of Barney.

Sorry to hear of Wayne’s passing. He seemed to have gotten wittier and good with a joke later in life. I’ll miss that humour.

Wayne was a very dear friend to the Elliott family in the United States. We shared many wonderful times in both California and Colorado, eating breakfast and laughing about life many mornings at our home in Palm Desert when they were staying at the International Lodge across the street. Easter Brunch was always special in a different way because of Wayne's caustic sense of humor. Later in life, we had a great visit from Wayne and Verda in Colorado, with a great visit up to Rocky Mountain National Park, and we stayed with Wayne in Chatham a few years back, on our way to Vermont. Our three girls consider him to be their Uncle. Wayne especially loved my dad, Hugh, and my brother, Mickey, and we all would look forward to his occasional phone calls when he would just call to check in. He will be missed very much. May he rest in peace, knowing that he had a positive impact on this family and many others.

Barney was a great guy to have in a foursome.
As one of the countless number of guys from the old Parkview Golf League days, I can honestly say that his caustic sense of humour made me, and a lot of other guys, laugh. However, depending on whether his sharp quip came out when you were trying to line up a putt or not, it also made for some pretty good arguments. Either way, it was all intended to be fun.
Always a good guy to sit with after a round, he'll be missed. My Condolences! Dan Kelly
