It is with deep sadness that the family of Dianne DeBruyne announce her peaceful passing at the age of 81 at the Sydenham District Hospital in Wallaceburg surrounded by family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her loving heart, bright smile and contagious laugh will be deeply missed by all who have been blessed by her presence.
She was born in Chatham, the daughter of the late Marcel and Marie (Platjouw) Vandevenne. Beloved wife of 62 years to Frederick. Loving mom of Vicky DeBruyne (Shayne), Belinda Hakr (Mike), Kelly DeBruyne (Chris) and Nathan DeBruyne (Diane). Cherished grandma of Jessica (Stephan), CJ, Brandon, Kaitlyn (Tyler), Nolan (Allison), Megan (Grayson), great grandson Hakr coming in September and step grandchildren Logan and Carter. Dear sister-in-law Yvonne Marcus (Ed), Mauritz DeBruyne (the late Rachel). Predeceased by sisters Anne Benn (the late Charles), Yvonne Yonkheym (the late Pete), Rose Verschoore (the late Joe), brother Omer Vandevenne (Emma); brothers-in-law Willie DeBruyne (the late Leta) and Alfred DeBruyne (the late Madeline). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Dianne will be deeply missed by her dog Shelby.
Cremation has taken place and a private service is being held on Friday at 2:00pm
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dianne can be made to the cancer society or any animal shelter of your choice.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, Dresden.
