Obituary of Robert Stanley Gervais

Robert "Bob" Stanley Gervais, a resident of Thamesville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 88. Born in Chatham, the son of the late Orval and Norma (Gillet) Gervais. Bob farmed all his life and in 1958 they moved to the farm at Wabash. He loved to farm, it was his occupation as well as his "Hobby"! Bob enjoyed visits from the grandchildren, friends and relatives. He would prefer to stay home or go on a short drive in the country as long as he would be back that same day. He did travel a few times with friends on longer trips and discovered some interesting places away from his home. Bob was the beloved husband of 65 years to Jeannette (Como) Gervais. Loving father of Kevin Gervais (Sharon), Karen Gazarek (Karl), Allan Gervais (Sarah) and Paul Gervais (Joanne). Proud "Papa Bob" to Stacey, Bonnie, Adam, Jennifer, Kimberly, Julian, Hannah, Ethan, Leah, 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Dear brother of the late Edgar Gervais (Lynda) and Keith Gervais (Wendy). A private family service was held from the John C. Badder Funeral Home, Thamesville on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 11 am with Rev. Linda McFadden as officiant. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Thamesville. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
