Foley: Loretta Josephine, a resident of Dresden and formerly of Toronto, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Monday, March 20, 2023 at the age of 91. Born in Toronto, daughter of the Late Thomas and Gertrude (Warner) Foley. Loving mother of Glen Peacock Sr. (Debbie) of Brantford and Steven Peacock (Stefan Premdas) of Dresden. Sadly missed by her grandsons Glen Jr. and Ryan Peacock. Dear sister of Tom Foley (Carol) of Beaverton, and Barbara Logan of Toronto. Also survived by a niece Jillian.
My mom loved to laugh and she enjoyed travelling cross country, sight-seeing by car, while visiting all the different towns and provinces. She loved beautiful sunny days as well the great outdoors and camping. Her favorite Singers were Nat King Cole and John Denver and the golden oldies of music.
However; The past 12 years, Her favorite thing was travelling throughout North America, going to "Meet and Greet" concerts and following the operatic Italian singing trio IL VOLO whom she fell head over heels in love with.
Loretta was diagnosed with Dementia, in 2007, then Alzheimer's from which she passed away from, on March 20,2023, just 3 months shy of her 92nd birthday.
Loretta was always blessed in the final years knowing the Personal Support Workers and respite worker who were always friendly and outgoing, and were so helpful to her, were always there for any and all her needs. and she was very thankful for them.
A special Thank You goes out to the Alzheimer's Chatham-Kent and staff, for their dedication and friendships towards Loretta in her declining years
