Obituary of Robert William Backman

Backman: Robert W., a resident of Bothwell and formerly of Kitchener, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the age of 75. Born in Montreal, Quebec, son of the late Robert Sr. and Dorothy Backman. Robert worked for the TTC for many years and was a diehard Boston Bruins Fan. Beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Duffenais) Backman. Loving father of Nancy Forgione (Johnny), Robert Backman (Alicia), and Brad Backman (Shakilah). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Tyler, Kyle, Jaden, Neveah, Jazmine, Gavin and Ethan. Dear brother and brother-in-law of John Backman (Jackie) and Arnie Dunsmore. Predeceased by a sister Patricia Dunsmore, and a brother Michael Backman. At Robert's request cremation has taken place. The family will remember Robert privately.
