Obituary of Zulma Marguerite Deprez
Deprez (Verstraete), Zulma: a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Hospice of Chatham-Kent on Monday December 25, 2023 at the age of 88. Born in Bothwell, daughter of the late Maurice and Adrienne (VanBesien) Verstraete. Beloved wife of 64 years to the late Roger Deprez. Loving mother of Louise and Don Walker of Charing Cross, Deb and Don Casier of Thamesville, Rick Deprez of Chatham and predeceased infant son David George Deprez. Proud Grandmother of Micheal Walker (Stephanie), Erica Whitehead (Scott), Amanda Walker (Kevin), Derrick Casier, Dara Mcquarrie (Tyler). Proud Great Grandmother to Kristian (Adam), Kaiden (Jacqueline), Breydon, Daniel, Kylan, Ally, Sadie and Henry.
Dear sister of Marie and Antoine Vereecken of Chatham, Dianne Feys (late Gilbert) of Bothwell, sister-in-law of Mary Deprez (late Charlie) of Ridgetown. Predeceased by sisters and brother Rose and Joe Vereecken, Andre and Lena Verstraete, Janette and Bill Korpan and sister-in-law Dorothy Deprez.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Zulma was an extremely active member of the church and the Catholic Woman’s League (C.W.L.) for many years.

The Deprez family will receive family and friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St., Dresden on Thursday from 1-3pm and 6-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Dresden on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 3:00pm followed by interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Thamesville.
