Obituary of Marjorie Kathleen Babcock
Marjorie Kathleen Babcock, a resident of Dresden, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 15, 2024 at Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 89. Born in Camden Township, the daughter of the late Irvine and Cora (Wallace) Shaw. Beloved wife of the late Walter Babcock (2020). Marjorie was a graduate of Public General Hospital School of Nursing 1955. She was a member of the Dresden Community Church and former member of the Dresden Community Church Women. Loving mother of Wendy Babcock (Christopher Reil), Jennifer Johnson (Dave) and Brent Babcock (Virginia). Cherished Grandma of Robert (Claire), Krista, Joshua (Vanessa), Ashlee (Anthony), Colin (Shannon), Alisha (Charles), Daniel, Samuel and Haley. Proud Great Grandma of Walter, Lincoln, Carmen, Callie and Izzy. Dear sister of Grace Ross (late Jack). Remembered by brother-in-law Dr. Ray Meredith (late Twin Sister Marion). Predeceased by sister Helen Smith (Clarence) and brothers John Shaw (Marilyn) and Wallace Shaw (Willa). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will be received at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre 679 North St, Dresden on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday, July 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM until the time of the service at 1:30 PM.
