Obituary of Audrey Grace Bolton

Bolton: Audrey Grace (nee Webster) - of Shetland, passed away peacefully at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury, on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Alec C. Bolton (1988) and loving mother of daughters Shannon (Doug) Inglis of Petrolia and Julie (Tony) London of Chatham. Cherished grandmother of Colleen Inglis of Petrolia, Rob London of Chatham and Alexis London of Toronto. Audrey was the daughter of the late Clarence and Florence (Rayner) Webster of R.R. #1 Croton. Sister of the late Dolores (Bill) Sturgis (1987), the late C. (Clarence) H. (late Faye) Webster (1990) and the late Delbert (late Donna) Webster (2006). Audrey was a life-long reader and lover of books. She valued education. She proudly graduated from the Chatham Public General Hospital School of Nursing with the class of 1949. Audrey and Alec married in May 1950 and lived together in their home, raising their family in Shetland for over 38 years, where Alec owned and operated Bolton's General Store for 43 years. In 2000, after many correspondence courses, Audrey was thrilled to graduate from the University of Waterloo, on the Dean's Honour List, with a 3 year General Classical Studies, Bachelor of Arts Degree. At Audrey's request there will be no visitation or funeral. Cremation has taken place with private burial of cremains at Shetland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Four Counties Health Services, Newbury or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
