Dear Sweet Aunt Marilyn, Richard and I were very sad to hear of your passing. Your kindness and generosity are lovely memories, along with your one of a kind smile and great laugh. You served your community well and many a former patient's lives were made better because of your dedication. may your Spirit journey peacefull to that land beyond, where there is no more struggle, pain or sadness. The gift she gave us in making the Delaware block with Mary C Whiteye and Shirley Baker is a legacy that endures and continues to impact hundreds of thousands of people and school children worldwide. I wanted to let you know the important impact that your mother had on my life. She was one of the few people in the community that believed in me, when no one else did. She brought David Gehue into the community and through this I was able to end my struggle with alcohol. She encouraged me to apply for a job at the health centre to work with her. This opportunity shaped my life. I was not able to attend the ceremonies but I wanted to let you know that I laid tobacco for her this morning and asked the Creator to accept her with open arms, for all the help she provided to so many. She was a beautiful person and loved so many. Please take comfort in knowing she helped so many lives - single handedly, when no programs were yet fully developed in the community. I now work at a hospital in Windsor and without her guiding hand, I may not have found my way. She will be missed, but never forgotten
