Wilda, Karen & Dennis, Jen & Chris, Tim & Joanne and family:
We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of a truly treasured member of the Thamesville community. Jerry's kindness, candor and genuine care for others was so evident in every conversation, hand-shake or laugh you shared with him. Memories of his smiling face define so much of what I remember of Sundays at church. My favourite part of the Christmas Cantata was waiting for Jerry's solo. His voice was a true gift! The Thamesville United Church was so very fortunate to have had his talent and dedication! Hoping it brings comfort to know that Jerry's impact lives on and will not be forgotten. We are thinking of all of you and sending prayers and lots of love to each of you! Our deepest sympathies and hopes for brighter days ahead.

It is never easy to lose someone you love so much, but I guess sometimes we have to appreciate that we had them for a long time and maybe they didn't have to lay and suffer for a long time. RIP Jerry.

Wilda and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Jerry's death. As we age, our circle of friends seem to lose touch with each other. I have so many happy memories of Jerry - taking part in our wedding, and so many good times together at National grocers events, etc. My thoughts and prayers are, and will be with you. Dear Wilda, Jane & Karen and families,
I am so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. One of the nicest, chattiest people I have come to love in Thamesville.
He always took a moment to stop and catch up with me or wave as he was driving by the house. I will miss him greatly and my thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Uncle Jerry was a wonderful uncle. He always took the time to talk to you about whatever was going on in our lives. He was so proud of his wife, children, grand-children. and even the grand doggies. I have had the pleasure to sing with Uncle Jerry several times it was a great honour. It was always an awesome time when all of the Holmes siblings would get together and sing for the pleasure it brought all of us. The Holmes's all had a range of voices. With Uncle Jerry and Aunt Wilda the door was always open for a visit and a game of cards of course. Aunt Wilda would whip up a meal in know time and of course you were made to stay. My nick name from the time I was little from uncle Jerry was little spook, he actually called me that just recently just had to chuckle. Jerry was such a faithful servant in the United Church and a dedicated choir member, he will be missed dearly. Wow can you image the singing that is going on up in heaven right now with the family members that have passed. Dear Wilda, Jayne, Karen and all your family,
We were so sorry to read about the loss of Jerry. He was a wonderful and friendly man who made us feel right at home when we moved to Thamesville and was certainly a pillar of the United Church there. His voice in the choir was amazing!
Jayne and Karen, I know the pain you are feeling in the loss of such a loving Dad...and Wilda we certainly extend our sympathy to you as you've lost your "other half". May all the happy memories of your life together replace the hurt you are feeling today.

What a wonderful man! I have many fond memories of Uncle Gerry from my summers at the farm. As youngsters, Ann and I worshipped him. He was handsome and happy and always had time to play baseball or go on adventures like digging mud turtle eggs at the river.
