Obituary of Anna May Bushey
Bushey (Stanley), Anna a resident of Dresden passed away peacefully Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Fairfield Park Nursing Home, Wallaceburg at the age of 87. Born in Chatham Twp., daughter of the late Victor and Jean (Dunlop) Stanley. Beloved mother of eight grateful children: Monica (George) Vince, Diane (Roy) Wainman, Kevin (Brenda) Bushey, Brenda (Ed) Costello, Kim (Gwen) Bushey, Kerry (Ozzie) Polito, Kirk (Margaret) Bushey, and Kara (Robert) Tremblay. Adored grandmother to a legacy of 18 grandchildren: Geremy, Melissa, Lisa, Sally, Michael, Brittany, Lee-Anne, Mark, Kate, Joel, Patrick, Owen, Aaron, Selena, Bryce, Kyle, Luke, and Kayla; and 10 great grandchildren Annaliese, Braunson, Mason, Burke, Gabriella, Annabelle, Carson, Caris, Cooper, and Piper. Survived by her sisters Evelyn (William) Harrett and Maisie (Max) Deline and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings Hazel (Cecil) Disney, James Stanley, Robert Stanley, Isabelle (Clayton) McGugan, and Edward (Mary) Stanley, and grandson Matthew. Anna was a woman of incredible strength and determination. Her hobbies included bowling, watching hockey and baseball, and coaching from the living room; she was a proud Blue Jay fan! Her happiest moments were times shared with family, knitting, and doing jig saw puzzles. Anna was a servant, giving and caring for her family; along with, many years of service to the North Dresden Baptist Church in several capacities. We were individually, unique pieces crafted in her puzzle of life and she knit our family together with love and dedication. She is forever honoured, loved and will be deeply missed! The Bushey family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 pm. Cremation to follow with interment in Dresden Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations may be made by cheque to Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
