Obituary of Gerald Leroy Barker

Barker: Leroy a resident of Chatham, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at the age of 83. Born in Camden Twp., son of the late Melville and Leata (Houston) Barker. Beloved husband of Joyce (Cudmore) Barker. Loving father of Kevin Barker of Kitchener, and Shawn Barker (Jodie) of Scappoose, Oregon. Loving grandpa to William Barker, Celina Doiron, and Paul "P.J." Doiron. Dear brother-in-law of Marvin Cudmore (Jane), Doug Cudmore (Barb). Predeceased by a brother-in-law Lyle Cudmore (Pat). Leroy will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, and treasured friends he made over the years. Leroy retired from Union Gas after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a member of Providence United Church and also a faithful member of the Trails End Club which he thoroughly enjoyed. At Leroy's request cremation has taken place. Interment will be held in Everitt Cemetery, Howard Twp. at a later date. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
