Dear family, Our heartfelt condolences with the passing of your mother and (great-)grandmother. When she immigrated to Canada I (cousin Piet) was standing with my father at the bus stop, who brought her to the airport, for her to say goodbye. Today it is mother's day in the Netherlands. During our vacation in 1998 we came on 10 may in Florence for a visit at Corrie and Bernie only to drink a cup of coffee. But, we were welcoming invited for the whole week-end, to celebrate this day (mother’s day) with the whole family. Her hospitality and kindness were experienced when we visited her later again. She looked like her mother for that matter. She is now no longer in your midst. Now she may be allowed with the Lord in who she knew her Savior. We keep good memories of her. With heartfelt sincerity I send this entire family my condolences during the passing of their Mother. I have so very many wonderful memories of Corrie and great conversations she had with me as I grew through my youth in that area. I was also fortunate enough to have held each one of these children on my lap and in my arms and to see them off to running all over and enjoying their young lives. That was an honor. I think of all of you often. Babysitting your family while enjoying those scrumptious windmill cookies (is the word spectra not sure) and laughing and playing with these kids were fantastic moments. Thanks for sharing. As you journey through these moments I know you will reflect on her wonderful warm smile and her loving heart. I will. Always. Mary Jean
