It is with deep sadness that I extend my condolences to the Thompson family. Sis. Elda was my godmother whom I loved dearly. She was true example of God’s love. In over forty years, she never missed my birthday and Christmas, whether I was far or near! She always wanted to know how my daughter and I were doing. Sis. Elda was an honourable, kind-hearted woman who deeply loved her family. I’m heartbroken and will genuinely miss her!

I'm heavy hearted but I know Aunt Elda is with the Lord! She was an inspiration and an a example of a good and faithful woman. When I visited her in the hospital she opened her eyes and said 'Oh Honey you caught me being lazy". She made us laugh. Aunt Elda was always content, determine, active and loved having family around. I will miss her.

Allen, Betty Ann & family...I cannot find the words to express my sadness at the death of your beloved Mum, my first cousin Elda. She was so special. In these later years, Arthur, Lorne and me (and Albert just once before he died), came out to the farm to visit. It was always like going home. From our farm on the 12th, directly opposite across the fields was the Thompson farm. Those were the days. Cousin Elda will always be cherished in my memories. My condolences to the Thompson family. Sister Elda will surely be missed. She had such a sweet spirit. Her laughter was one that always made you smile as you knew it was heartfelt. Her words of wisdom made you reflect and reminded you that somebody cares. Her smile was radiant, whether it was in the grocery store or in church. Her hugs left you feeling appreciated and valued. Dear Thompson and Ladd families of sister Elda...you have my deepest sympathies and sincere condolences in the wake of her passing. Despite the extended length of her life, and her faith and hope in glory during her eternal rest it's never easy accepting the passing of our beloved one's.
