My condolences to the Gehl family. Both Alvin & Pat were great people. When I lived in Bothwell I helped them with several small jobs including shoveling there driveway & they in turn gave me many treats & hot chocolate. I will miss them both.

Pat Gehl was my favourite teacher. She was the first teacher to show compassion and empathy for us. I told her this when I saw her in the grocery store just last year. Her kindness shaped much of our future. Journey well, Mme Gehl. You will always be remembered.

So sorry for your loss. Your mother was an incredible woman with a heart of gold. I had the privilege of having your mom as my mentor while I was a student teacher. She taught grade 2 then, at École St Philippe in Grande Pointe. She passed on much knowledge and effective and innovative methods that I continued to put into practice in the course of my teaching career. Her love for the students entrusted to her care, stands out most in my mind. My heartfelt condolences to your families.

I send my heartfelt condolences to all of you
Your mom , mother-in-law , grandmother, great grandmother was an amazing lady !
She talked of you often and was very proud of each and every one of you . Your mom spoke of her wishes and was very clear .. you boys did well in respecting that .
I was as an EA at Ste Marie and worked along side with your mom . She was a devoted kind hearted loving generous person
We share many great memories!!
We enjoyed each others company so much that we’d try and get the old gang from Ste Marie together once a month as well as a summer party at my place . Your mom would bring her famous Hello Dollies .. enough for us to eat that day and enough for us to take a few home.
The night before her stroke the gang had met for supper.
I hugged her goodbye.. not knowing it really was a goodbye … I am still in disbelief
She will be missed so much

Dave, Bob and Gary. My sympathies go out to you and your families and I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I taught with Pat for many years at École Ste-Marie. She taught grade 1 and I taught grade 2 right across the hallway. She was always so nice and sincere to everyone, students and adults alike. If ever anyone needed help she would be one of the 1st people to help. I'm also happy that she was kind enough to share her recipe for her Hello Dollies and I always think of her when I make them.
